Built for the working dog

A raw recipe for dogs that train, work, and compete at the top of their game. Developed by a Super Bowl champion linebacker who spent his career fueling a body that had to show up.

Up to 2x

the daily calories of a less active dog on a hard training day

60 to 70%

moisture in the food itself, versus about 10% in kibble

100%

traceable, from receiving through the finished lot

SQF 2

certified facility with an audit score of 97

The demand

A working dog is an athlete. Feed it like one.

01

Output

A dog on a hard training day can need up to twice the calories of a less active dog. When intake falls short of that output, body condition is the first thing to slip.

02

Recovery

The work happens on the field. The rebuild happens after, and it runs on protein and fat the body can actually use.

03

Consistency

Handlers need the same dog every day. That starts with the same food in the bowl every day, not whatever was on sale.

02 Recovery

The work ends. The rebuild starts.

The recipe

Rawly Performance

We are building a dedicated recipe for dogs under heavy training and working load. Every number goes through verification before it goes live, so the details below publish at launch, not before.

Energy needs vary by the dog's size, age, body condition, health, and type and amount of work. Use the calorie estimate as a starting point, then monitor body weight and body condition and adjust the daily amount with your veterinarian. Rawly will provide recipe-specific calories and serving estimates once the formula and feeding tool are validated.

The standard

Fed like a pro. Built for the job.

Nate Gerry spent his career in a league where what you eat shows up on film. Fuel was never an afterthought. It was part of the job, measured and adjusted like any other part of training.

Rawly Performance applies that same standard to the dogs with the hardest jobs: whole-food raw nutrition, portioned to the workload, made in an SQF Level 2 certified facility.

Nate Gerry

Founder · Super Bowl champion

Nate grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and played safety at Nebraska, where he was a three-time All-Big Ten pick and an All-American. He went on to play linebacker in the NFL and won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles.

He founded Rawly after his dog Koba's health issues kept coming back and a raw diet cleared up in weeks what treatment had not fixed in years. He brings the standard from the game: fuel measured and adjusted like any other part of training.

Feeding the working day

Every working dog is different.

Workload, body condition, age, health, and the recipe's calorie content all shape daily feeding needs. Use calorie information to guide portions, monitor your dog over time, and adjust with your veterinarian as the work changes. Keep fresh water available throughout the day.

For dogs at higher risk of GDV, ask your veterinarian how to schedule meals around intense activity.

“It was as if I gave him an energy drink or dropped a couple years off of him.”

K9 Bubo, a Belgian Malinois in a working harness
Adam, handler of K9 Bubo
“K9 Bubo is a 6 year old, 90 lb Belgian Malinois with a highly demanding job as an apprehension K9 for a Federal Law Enforcement Special Response Team. He was previously on a high end dry dog food and I didn't have major concerns with it. However, after switching him to the Rawly raw dog food diet, I noticed obvious and marked improvements in him physically. The first thing I noticed was his energy levels were higher. It was as if I gave him an energy drink or dropped a couple years off of him. He was eager to work and had more energy while working. I also noticed that his coat was finer, he had no digestive issues and most of all, he clearly loved the food. I've now had Bubo on the food for almost 3 months and he has never had any digestive issues with the food and has always been excited when I bring it out to him. I just wish I had been offered the ability to put Bubo on Rawly's raw food diet earlier in his life, it is obviously more natural and better for him. The customer service at Rawly is excellent, and Chase has been great to work with. I highly recommend this product!”
Dax & Harlow

“Both of my dogs are high energy, working dogs. I was always worried their kibble wasn't providing enough protein and nutrients. I've been feeding Rawly for over a year now, and their coats are shiny, their muscles are strong, and our vet has even commented on what great shape they're in.”
